Age Limits
Kongsberg Jazz Festival wants to be an open and inclusive festival, also for those under 18. At Quality Hotel and late evening / night events in the energy mill and Christian's basement is the 18-year-border. Otherwise it is open age. Those who are under 18 years must prepare to get a large black cross on their hands, so that the guards and food service personnel can easily see who is under 18. Do you have children with you in concert, it's just nice if an artist, venue and the music is "child friendly". If in doubt, please contact us. Due to capacity reasons, children must buy their own ticket in the same way as adults.

There are pharmacies on Stortorvet (Apotek1), Pharmacies Silver Crown (Storgata 30) Pharmacies and coin (Coin Street 13 – Westside).

Tickets
Before the festival you can buy tickets through the Ticket Service (Post, Starbucks, 7 Eleven) + www.billettservice.no or tel 815 33 133.
UNDER festival you can buy tickets on the street festival (between 10.00 until 21.00) and Tubaloon (during the concerts), in addition to their Ticket Service Retail Outlets. Tel Kongsberg Jazz Festival: 32 73 31 66.

Car and parking
We encourage everyone to use public transport or walking / cycling. Do you really need a car there are numerous parking lots in downtown: including node (Railway Station, running Baneveien), 2 p-basements in 17. maigata, p-space in the Cottage Street and parking space in Haspbergtjerndalen ("Hasp" on the Westside).

Festivalgata
The street festival is actually named Christian Augusts gate located between the Quality Hotel Grand Kongsberg and library. During the festival transforms Christian Augusts gate from an ordinary street into the heart of the festival. In Festivalgata you can hear free jazz all day, buy food and refreshing drinks, buy the discs in the booth Just Jazz and not least; Jazz tickets to concerts.

Festival area
Kongsberg Jazz Festival has many different venues with different capacities. The smaller venue is the Gallery Aakernes which takes about 60-70 people and the largest is Tubaloon on Church Square, that record to 5000 people. See the description of the different venues here. All venues located in Kongsberg center and it is a short walk between the different venues.

Jazzfilm
Cracks in the sun and prefer the darkness, or are you simply love film? Hans Morten Wærp and Ingrid Dokka, in cooperation with the Norwegian Film Institute, place each year on a free jazz film program for you. Thursday to Saturday you can experience movies&jazz treats both children and adults in Kongsberg cinema. See the festival program.

Miljøfyrtårn
Kongsberg Jazz Festival is the first jazz festival in the country that were certified. The certification means that KJF must follow regulations and industry requirements ifht HSE, lower environmental impact during the festival and environmentally friendly operations in the office the rest of the year. The criteria are developed in collaboration with the festival, Moon Festival, Quarter, Miljøfyrtårn, GRIP and Green day.

Liquor Stores
Kongsberg has self-service wine shop. Opening hours are Monday-Wednesday at 1000-1700, Thursday 1000-1800, Friday 0900-1700, Saturday 0900-1400. Street Address: Coin Street 16. See map and more here.

Weather
We expect perfect festivalvær, Here you can check what the weather will Hourly. Sun and summer can tempt both excited, is the normal water flow in the river it is possible to bathe in a suitable place (badebrygge) at the jazz camp / sports hall. We encourage the bathroom wit; swimming with much drinking is bad.
