Thank you for this year!
The 46. Kongsberg Jazz Festival is finished and we are proud to say that this has been a success! We thank you for us, and takes a short break before it's right back to the planning of the 47. Kongsberg Jazz Festival!
Here's is a small media digest of this year's festival.
First and foremost we must mention the discussion we had in the international website allaboutjazz.
“Festivals like Kongsberg provide a model from which North American jazz festivals—most facing the clear challenge of attracting people beyond the gray hairs and no hairs—could and should learn” – John Kellman – all about jazz.
It warms when we see the words of John Kellman, it's not often you hear that North American festivals have much to learn from the Kongsberg Jazz Festival! Read the full John Kellman's article on the Kongsberg Jazz Festival by following the links below.

Our greatest and most prolific concert was Röyksopp on Tubaloon. We had high expectations and the team delivered, mildly!
Röyksopp was praised by both Laagendalsposten,Dagbladet and Drammen Tidende. Read the reviews of Röyksopp here:

Another major highlight of this year's jazz festival was Bill Frisell's concerts. The Bill Frisell Trio concert, and Bill Frisell with Jan Erik Vold and Arild Andersen had violently praised by critics.
